You spend them in three places: a 30 tier battle pass that ends with the new Emberbow (an Ancient gun that costs 100,000 Candies by itself), the 2026 Halloween Box (600 Candies or 1 Halloween Key, with a 0.2% shot at the Godly Embersickle), and the Cauldron, where an Embersickle and an Emberbow combine into the Ancient Emberscythe. MM2 is packed right now. When we checked the Roblox games API on October 19, 2026, the day after launch, Murder Mystery 2 had over 506,000 people playing at once and more than 31.4 billion lifetime visits. This is the game's 11th Halloween event, and it goes back to its roots with a small retro lobby and a remake of the old Haunted House map.
Below is how to get every new item, what each one costs in Candies, and where you can save time.
When does the MM2 Halloween Event 2026 start and end?
It went live on October 18, 2026 at 3:00 PM EDT and is scheduled to end on November 16, 2026. That's about four weeks. Last year's Halloween event also opened on October 18, so the timing was no surprise. Don't plan around an extension. Spend your Candies before November 16, because once the event closes, the Emberbow, Emberscythe and Embersickle can only be traded or bought.
What's new in MM2 Halloween 2026?
The update adds one new map, a new box, a 30 tier battle pass, the return of Candies, two new Ancients, new Godlies, and the first Chroma Ancients MM2 has ever had. Here are the items worth knowing about:

Two things here have never happened in MM2 before. The Chroma Emberbow and Chroma Emberscythe are the first chroma versions of an Ancient, and the Emberscythe is the first Ancient you can craft since Season 1 came out. That's why traders started arguing about it within hours of launch.
How does the MM2 Halloween 2026 battle pass work?
There are 30 tiers. Tier 1 is free. Tiers 2 to 29 cost 600 Candies each, which comes to 16,800 Candies. Then the Emberbow costs 100,000 Candies on its own. The MM2 wiki puts the whole pass at 117,400 Candies, so plan on roughly 117,000. Check the price shown in game before you start saving.

Every odd tier from 3 to 27 gives a Halloween Key. That's 13 keys, and each one opens a 2026 Halloween Box for free. Keys can't be traded, so use them yourself.
There's also a hidden bonus on the last tier. When you buy the Emberbow, there's a very small chance you get the Chroma Emberbow instead. The odds haven't been published.
What's in the 2026 Halloween Box, and what are the odds?
The 2026 Halloween Box is the only box in the event. It's ember themed and costs 600 Candies or 1 Halloween Key. These are the drop rates listed on the MM2 wiki:

The percentages are per rarity, not per item. A 70% Common roll picks one of the four Commons. At 0.2%, you'd expect one Embersickle in about 500 opens. Paying Candies for every open, that's around 300,000 Candies, more than double the whole battle pass. The Chroma Embersickle works out to about 1 in 25,000 opens, so very few will ever exist.
How do you craft the Emberscythe in the Cauldron?
The Emberscythe is the event's second Ancient. You make it in the Cauldron, which sits behind the event NPC in the lobby. It takes two items:
- An Embersickle, the Godly from the Halloween Box (0.2% per open).
- An Emberbow, the tier 30 battle pass reward (about 117,000 Candies all in).
Put both in the Cauldron while the event is running and you get the Emberscythe. There's also a low chance the craft gives you the Chroma Emberscythe instead. You can craft as many times as you like, as long as you have the items.
That makes the Emberscythe the hardest item in the event to get without placing on the leaderboard. It pairs with the Emberbow as the Ancient Ember set, and with the Embersickle as a three piece Ember collection. Collectors will want all three.
What is the Mortal Bundle, and is it worth the Robux?
The Mortal set is the paid side of the event. You can buy it three ways:
- Mortal gamepass, 1,699 Robux, for the Mortal Godly knife
- Immortal gamepass, 1,699 Robux, for the Immortal Godly gun
- Mortal Bundle, 3,399 Robux, for both plus the Smolder effect
Buying both passes on their own costs 3,398 Robux, so the bundle gives you Smolder for 1 extra Robux. If you want the set, get the bundle. Just don't treat it as an investment. Anyone can buy it until November 16, so there will be a lot of them. Gamepass Godlies usually trade for less than the box Godly and the grind Ancients.
How do you earn Candies fast in MM2 Halloween 2026?
Candies replace coins until the event ends. They spawn on the map during rounds, and no coins drop at all. Ways to get more of them:
- Stay alive and keep moving. Candies come off the ground, so more time in the round means more Candies. Innocents usually get the most free time to collect.
- Do the Daily Quests. You get 3 a day, and they reset at 8:00 AM UTC (3:00 AM EST). They pay extra Candies on top of what you pick up.
- Finish Event Quests and Bingo. Event Quests give exclusive items for completing your Dailies. The 3x3 Bingo card is back for the first time since Easter 2023 and pays out effects and toys. Read each square closely, because players report some tasks only count Candies you pick up yourself.
- Use your free keys first. Open boxes with the 13 battle pass keys. Don't spend Candies on boxes until the Emberbow is paid for.
- Skip "farming server" offers. Anyone offering a private farm server or asking for your login is after your inventory. Play normal public servers.
What about the leaderboard Emberbows?
There's a Candy leaderboard, and the prizes are special versions of the Emberbow. The top three get Gold, Silver and Bronze Emberbows, and the top 100 get a Blue Emberbow. These are Uniques, and they can't be traded. Realistically, those spots go to players who grind every day of the event.
Are the new Halloween 2026 items worth trading for?
It's too early for firm values. Most value lists still show the Ember items as TBA, and prices swing a lot in the first week of any event. Past Halloween events usually go like this:
- Box Godlies like the Embersickle trade high in the first days, drop as thousands get unboxed, then climb again after the event ends and supply stops.
- Grind Ancients like the Emberbow and Emberscythe stay scarce, because few players finish a 100,000 Candy tier. Since the craft uses up an Emberbow and an Embersickle, the Emberscythe should end up the rarest tradeable item from this event.
- Chromas are so rare that any early number is a guess.
- Gamepass Godlies (Mortal and Immortal) have unlimited supply until November 16 and usually trade lowest.
Values come from the trading community, not from the game. Nikilis and Roblox don't publish official values, so compare two lists before any big trade.
